Dear members and friends of GEN-Europe,

You are cordially invited to the next GEN-Europe’s General Assembly (GA) at the Convento San Giorgio in Italy. Our host this year is Nanni Laurent, who most of you know from many previous GAs. This year we have many issues to discuss, and to decide the next steps for GEN-Europe’s future. So please do send one representative of your ecovillage or project to join the assembly!

Major questions/issues are:
• How do we continue without EU funding?
• How do we want to spread the responsibilities for the GEN-E offices?
• Changes within the staff team and council
• Election of new council members (Andy Langford resigned his seat in spring 07)
• Selection of the Excellence Award 2007
• Cooperation with NextGEN

Here is the draft overview of the GA:
Sat, 7th July Arrival day for Forum workshop
Sun, 8th Forum Workshop* with Achim & Ina (30, - ); Arrival for GA
Mon, 9th – Thu, 12th core time for GA, office and financial reports, open space
Fri, 13th departure and council meeting!
Fri, 13th – Sun, 15 th RIVE meeting (Italian ecovillage Network)

* Workshop: Invitation to attend the one-day workshop on “Forum and social skills” with Ina and Achim.
ZEGG Forum is designed to create a space to experience social communication in an intimate atmosphere of trust. Trust is created when processes in a group are transparent and understandable for all involved. In our experience trust is the glue that keeps community together. It is a unique process, which goes beyond mediation and personal growth work on a one to one basis as it works well in small and big groups. (30,– )

We will have time for presentations of your projects/ ecovillages. Please bring slides, videos, photos, ppp ...
As usual we want to invite you to bring your local products to sell at our ecovillage market.

To meet your needs best, members are invited to suggest subjects they want to discuss on the GA. Please send your ideas to ina@gen-europe.org until June 25th 2007 latest

Due to the lack of EU funding we will not organize an Italian ecovillage tour.
