The Global Ecovillage Network of Europe would like to encourage and promote the circulation of the "ecovillage concept" to the wider public of ecologically and culturally sensitive travellers.

Please note that GEN-Europe is not responsible for the information given by any of the hosts and that there are three categories of Ecovillage places we publish in the upper links:
- Ecovillages (with a resident community, at least a few houses and cultural activities)
- Ecovillage initiatives (a new settlement which is getting started and is, at the moment, lacking one of the above)
- Related projects (members of the GEN-Europe network which have ecovillage-related initiatives).
